Role Description The Urgent Requirement Counsellor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mathura. The counsellor will guide prospective and current learners through course selection, admission processes, and career pathways, ensuring that individuals are matched with programs aligned to their goals and skills. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions (in-person and via phone), providing detailed information about courses and fees, managing inquiries and follow-ups, and maintaining accurate records of interactions. The role also involves coordinating with faculty and administration to support enrolment targets, organizing orientations or information sessions, and offering ongoing academic and career guidance to enhance student satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
- Counselling and advisory skills, including the ability to understand learner needs, recommend suitable programs, and provide clear, empathetic guidance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting professionally with students, guardians, faculty, and administrative staff.
- Basic knowledge of technology and education domains such as programming, data science, and design to explain course content and career prospects effectively.
- Organizational and record-keeping skills to manage inquiries, follow-ups, admissions documentation, and learner databases accurately.
- Customer service and problem-solving skills to address queries, resolve concerns, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Mathura and manage full-time schedules, including busy enrolment periods.
- Prior experience in academic counselling, admissions, or education sales is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, psychology, management, or related fields is an advantage.
