Technical SAP Manager JD:
Job Summary: The Technical SAP Manager will oversee the technical aspects of SAP systems within an electronic manufacturing company. This role involves managing SAP system architecture, development, and technical support while ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SAP technical modules, system integration, and a deep understanding of the electronic manufacturing industry's specific needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP System Architecture and Development:
- Design and manage the technical architecture of SAP systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure.
- Oversee SAP module development, customization, and enhancement.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of SAP projects, including new deployments, system upgrades, and migrations.
- Ensure the SAP landscape supports the manufacturing processes, including production planning, materials management, quality management, and supply chain operations.
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the SAP team, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
- Collaborate with functional SAP teams and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure technical solutions are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and business needs.
- System Integration and Performance Optimization:
- Manage the integration of SAP systems with other enterprise applications, such as MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), CRM, and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).
- Optimize SAP system performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Implement monitoring and troubleshooting processes to proactively address system issues and minimize downtime.
- Oversee SAP data management, including data migration, cleansing, and archiving, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure the security of SAP systems by implementing robust access controls, encryption, and other security measures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure SAP systems comply with legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the electronic manufacturing industry.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to conduct regular security and compliance audits.
- Project Management:
- Lead SAP technical projects from initiation to completion, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of SAP projects within scope and budget.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including technical specifications, change logs, and test plans.
- Training and Development:
- Oversee the training and development of the SAP technical team, ensuring they are equipped with the latest skills and knowledge.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the technical SAP team.
- Stay informed about SAP innovations, emerging technologies, and industry trends, applying relevant advancements to the company’s SAP environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in SAP technical roles, with at least 2-4 years in a managerial position.
- Deep technical expertise in SAP B1 modules, including HANA, and system integration technologies.
- Proven experience in managing SAP technical projects, including full lifecycle implementations and upgrades.
- Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and the technical requirements for SAP systems in this industry.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple technical projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- SAP certification in technical modules is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SAP B1, SAP S/4HANA, and other modern SAP technologies.
- Familiarity with global supply chain integration and regulatory compliance within the electronic manufacturing sector.
