Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Database Programmer / Medidata Rave Study Builder for a 12-month+ remote contract. The candidate will live in India but work a permanent night shift fully aligned with US Eastern Time (ET) hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET). Acting as our primary database architect, they will translate complex clinical protocols into high-performing electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs) and data validation networks.
Key Responsibilities
Database & eCRF Architecture: Build, configure, and maintain clinical study databases within the Medidata Rave platform.
Edit Check Programming: Write, test, and execute complex edit checks, data derivations, and logical validation dynamics.
Custom Functions: Independently author and deploy Medidata Rave Custom Functions using C# programming logic.
Post-Production Amendments: Execute critical database amendments and study migrations safely without losing or corrupting active patient data.
Auxiliary Integrations: Connect and manage complementary Rave system modules, including RTSM, Safety Gateway, and Coder.
Global Standard Alignment: Ensure all custom database builds mirror established corporate global libraries, CDISC/CDASH rules, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
Required Qualifications & Background
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of active, hands-on Medidata Rave study building experience inside a Pharma, Biotech, or CRO company.
Credential: Must possess an active Medidata Rave EDC Certified Study Builder or Classic Rave certificate.
Technical Mastery: Superior proficiency in building complex Edit Checks and programming C# Custom Functions entirely from scratch.
Shift Resiliency: Proven history working permanent US night shifts with no attendance disruptions.
Remote Setup: A quiet home workspace equipped with an unbroken high-speed internet connection and an active power backup system (UPS/Inverter).
