Apptware is Hiring | Lead Generative AI / Computer Vision Engineer
Location: Pune (Onsite/Hybrid)

Apptware Solutions is looking for a highly experienced Lead GenAI & Computer Vision Engineer to drive the design and delivery of advanced AI solutions. This is a lead-level role, requiring strong ownership, hands-on expertise, and the ability to mentor and manage a team.
Role Overview
You will lead the development of scalable, production-grade solutions across Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, AI Agents) and Computer Vision, working closely with business and engineering teams to build impactful AI products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of Generative AI solutions (LLMs, RAG, AI agents)
- Design and implement Computer Vision models (image classification, object detection, segmentation, video analytics)
- Architect scalable systems, including APIs, microservices, and data pipelines
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of AI systems in production
- Implement MLOps practices, CI/CD, model monitoring, and versioning
- Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in client discussions
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of AI/ML engineers
Required Experience
- 7+ years in AI/ML, Data Science, or Data Engineering
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, AI Agents)
- Proven experience in deploying AI solutions in production environments
Technical Skills (Must-Have)
- Strong expertise in Python
- Computer Vision: OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, NumPy
- GenAI Frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex
- Vector Databases: Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate
- API Development: Flask, FastAPI, or Django
- Strong knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases
- Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
Important Criteria (Please Read Before Applying)
- This is strictly a Lead role – hands-on + team leadership experience is mandatory
- Immediate joiners or candidates with up to a 30-day notice period only
- Must have strong practical experience in GenAI + Computer Vision
- Not suitable for candidates with only academic or basic exposure
