Position: Urdu Language Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $10 – $30/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Translate materials accurately between English and Urdu while preserving context and nuance.
- Review and edit Urdu content for grammar, tone, clarity, and cultural appropriateness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide linguistic expertise across projects.
- Develop, proofread, and adapt content for Urdu-speaking audiences to ensure engagement and clarity.
- Assist in creating glossaries, language resources, and terminology documentation as required.
- Provide verbal and written communication support to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Stay informed on evolving Urdu language trends and cultural developments.
Requirements
- Native or near-native proficiency in Urdu with strong grammar and vocabulary command.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Urdu and English.
- Demonstrated experience in translation, localization, or Urdu-language editing.
- High attention to detail and commitment to linguistic precision.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Proficiency with digital collaboration and communication tools.
- Strong time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
