Salon Receptionist

Urban Waxx is looking for an individual to join our team of amazing Guest Experience Managers. Urban Waxx is a completely unique place to work. We genuinely love what we do, and it shows. We are firm believers that a happy team leads to happy guests.

This is a part-time position with a set schedule. There is an opportunity to pick up shifts at any location through shift coverage. We offer on-call bonuses and raises for emergency shift coverage!

Essential Functions:

Lead guest experience from check in to check out, ensuring Urban Waxx standards are upheld, creating a memorable experience for every guest.

Organize and execute salon flow between guests and team members in a positive manner.

Answer phone calls, make confirmation phone calls.

Schedule appointments over the phone and in the salon. Optimizing appointments to fit business needs.

Check guests in and out, rebooking appointments during check out.

Greet guests upon arrival, providing beverages and snacks.

Stay updated on retail products and educate guests on the retail we sell. Meet or exceed retail sales goals.

Create and maintain genuine relationships with guests.

Recognize and support team goals by creating and maintaining positive relationships with team members.

Maintain overall salon cleanliness by conducting frequent walkthroughs in the lobby, retail area, and bathroom, keeping the front desk area clean.

Troubleshoot any reservation system issues, updating guest profiles, and check notes to ensure guests needs are met.

Respond to guest concerns or complaints. 

Maintain clear communication with Management about overall salon operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Candidates applying must have a genuine interest in creating a positive and uplifting 5-star guest experience. 

Strong ability to multitask, while remaining calm, cool, and friendly. 

Strong work ethic and desire to be a part of a cohesive team.

Excellent time management skills- ability to prioritize tasks appropriately

Commitment to time integrity

Ability to accept coaching in a positive manner and use it as a learning tool.

Have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Have strong phone and computer skills.

Work cohesively with others in a fun and fast-paced environment.

Ability to work 4+ hours on your feet at a time.

Benefits:

$14/hr, raise to $14.50/hr after 8 months. 2%-6% raise at annual reviews.
