Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jodhpur, Rajasthan for an Upholstery Furniture Manufacturing Supervisor. The Supervisor will oversee day-to-day upholstery production activities, coordinate workflows, allocate tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of manufacturing targets. Responsibilities include managing a team of upholstery workers, enforcing safety and quality standards, and ensuring that finished products meet design specifications and customer requirements. The role involves collaborating with design, procurement, and quality teams, maintaining production records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the upholstery department. The Supervisor will also be accountable for resolving operational issues on the shop floor and supporting training and development of team members.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and effective Communication abilities to manage teams and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Manufacturing Operations and Production Planning skills to organize workflows, manage resources, and meet output targets.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills to inspect upholstery work, maintain standards, and ensure adherence to design and safety requirements.
- Relevant experience in upholstery furniture manufacturing or related production environments is highly beneficial.
- Diploma or degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, furniture technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Proficiency in using basic production tools, interpreting technical drawings, and applying lean or continuous improvement practices is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site, stand for extended periods, and oversee hands-on production activities in a factory setting.
