About the Role
VSP Black Diamond Media & Production Pvt. Ltd. is seeking experienced Unreal Engine Lighting Artists to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong artistic eye, technical expertise in Unreal Engine 5, and experience creating high-quality cinematic lighting for animation projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Create cinematic lighting setups for environments and sequences in Unreal Engine 5.
* Develop mood, atmosphere, and visual storytelling through effective lighting and post-processing.
* Work closely with the Environment, Look Development, and Cinematic teams to achieve production-quality visuals.
* Optimize lighting for performance without compromising visual quality.
* Maintain consistency in lighting across multiple shots and sequences.
* Troubleshoot rendering, exposure, and lighting-related technical issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Unreal Engine lighting.
* Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, including Lumen, Nanite, Sequencer, Post Processing, and Movie Render Queue.
* Excellent understanding of lighting theory, color theory, composition, exposure, and cinematic workflows.
* Experience working with MetaHumans, PBR materials, and realistic rendering pipelines.
* Ability to balance artistic quality with technical optimization.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in animation studios, feature films, OTT productions, or virtual production.
* Understanding of rendering pipelines, shaders, and look development.
* Experience working in a collaborative production environment with tight deadlines.
