About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Unreal Developer Intern eager to work on interactive applications, games, and immersive learning experiences using Unreal Engine. This internship is ideal for someone seeking hands-on experience in game development, gameplay mechanics, and real-time 3D environments, while collaborating with designers, artists, and product teams.
The intern will assist in developing engaging features, optimizing gameplay performance, and building interactive experiences within the Unreal ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing gameplay systems using Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5).
- Work with Blueprints and/or C++ to build game mechanics and interactive features.
- Support the creation and integration of 3D assets, UI elements, and animations into Unreal projects.
- Collaborate with game designers and level designers to implement gameplay logic and mechanics.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues related to performance, gameplay, and integration.
- Optimize projects for performance across different devices and platforms.
- Participate in internal reviews, testing cycles, and feature improvements.
- Document development processes and maintain clean, organized project files.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine (UE4 or UE5).
- Understanding of Blueprint scripting and basic C++ programming.
- Familiarity with game development concepts such as physics, animation, and player interaction.
- Basic understanding of 3D environments, lighting, and materials in Unreal.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience working on game projects, prototypes, or interactive simulations.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of UI development in Unreal (UMG).
- Interest in gamification, educational games, or interactive storytelling.
- Portfolio, GitHub repository, or demo projects showcasing Unreal work.
