Job details:
We are looking for an experienced Unreal Engine developer to join our team. Our upcoming projects are based around Epic's City Sample, where you'll be extending existing systems, developing new features, optimizing performance, and adapting the project for enterprise applications.
We are looking for someone with proven Unreal Engine experience who understands how to engineer scalable systems rather than simply implementing features that work.
Responsibilities
- Develop gameplay systems using C++ and Blueprints.
- Work extensively with Epic's City Sample project.
- Implement, extend, and modify Chaos Vehicles.
- Compile and work with Unreal Engine source builds (primarily building the engine from source when required).
- Design clean, modular, and reusable systems that can be easily extended by other developers.
- Debug, profile, and optimize Unreal Engine projects.
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and other programmers to deliver high-quality features.
- Write maintainable, production-ready code.
Requirements
- Prior professional experience developing Unreal Engine projects is required.
- Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, C++, and Blueprints.
- Experience working with Epic's City Sample.
- Experience with Chaos Vehicles.
- Experience compiling and working with Unreal Engine source builds.
- Solid understanding of Unreal Engine architecture, including actors, components, game framework, asset management, and gameplay framework.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Must have decent hardware for performance-demanding projects.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate should:
- Build modular, scalable, and reusable systems.
- Think about maintainability and future expansion before implementation.
- Write code that other developers can easily understand and extend.
- Avoid tightly coupled, one-off solutions.
- Follow good software engineering principles and Unreal Engine best practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience optimizing large Unreal Engine projects.
- Knowledge of World Partition, Nanite, Lumen, and Unreal profiling tools.
- Experience with rendering optimization.
- Experience integrating third-party SDKs or plugins.
About the Work
Most of our upcoming work is based on Epic's City Sample, developing enterprise and simulation-focused applications. The role involves extending existing systems, adding new functionality, improving performance, and building robust solutions that can support future client requirements.
To Apply
Please include:
- Your years of Unreal Engine experience.
- Portfolio, GitHub, or demo videos.
- Your resume.
- A brief description of a modular or extensible Unreal Engine system you've designed and why you structured it that way. This helps us understand your engineering approach.
