This connection offers interns exposure to both the pet products and leather goods sectors in an international trade environment.
Role Description This is a full-time, remote Unpaid Web Design Internship role. The intern will support the design and maintenance of the company’s websites and landing pages, ensuring visually appealing and user-friendly online experiences. Daily tasks may include creating wireframes and mockups, implementing responsive layouts, and assisting with front-end updates under guidance from senior team members. The intern will collaborate with marketing and product teams to present pet and leather product lines effectively, update product pages, and optimize visual content. The role also involves basic content updates, testing for usability and responsiveness across devices, and participating in regular check-ins to review progress and receive feedback.
Qualifications
- Strong interest and foundational skills in Web Design and Responsive Web Design.
- Practical exposure to Front-End Development (e.g., HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) for implementing designs.
- Graphic Design abilities, including working with design tools (such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar) to create web assets.
- Knowledge of User Interface Design principles focused on clarity, accessibility, and intuitive navigation.
- Ability to learn quickly, take feedback constructively, and work independently in a remote environment.
- Good communication skills and reliability in meeting deadlines and participating in virtual team meetings.
- Currently studying or recently completed a program in Web Design, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Portfolio or samples of prior web or design projects (academic, personal, or freelance) are highly beneficial.
