Kavach is a non-profit movement focused on advocating for mandatory self-defense and civil defense training in schools to promote child and women safety. With a mission to empower every child and reduce vulnerability through preparedness, Kavach aims to equip students with the tools to build awareness, confidence, discipline, and survival skills. This initiative emphasizes equality and seeks to create safer schools and a stronger generation. By dedicating just 30 minutes to structured self-defense training, Kavach strives to instill presence, courage, and the ability to respond calmly under pressure. Role Description
This is a full-time, unpaid remote role for a Graphic Designer dedicated to supporting Kavach's mission. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visual content to communicate the organization's purpose and initiatives effectively. Tasks include designing graphics, logos, and branding materials, as well as exploring creative typography choices. Additionally, the designer will collaborate with the team to create designs that align with Kavach’s vision and values. This role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a cause that directly impacts communities and future generations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Graphics and Graphic Design principles
- Experience with Logo Design and Branding to create cohesive visual identities
- Strong knowledge and creative use of Typography in design projects
- Experience with design tools and software such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar
- A passion for social impact and promoting child and women safety
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with non-profits or advocacy campaigns is a plus
