Center for Demography - P/T Demographer

5HR / PP

Adjunct appointment with Carsey School of Public Policy to advise on future planning and development of the Center for Demography, to analyze census data and report demographic trends and to interact with outside groups about state, regional, and national demographic trends and their implications.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • (20%) Consult and advise the Carsey Director and Executive Committee on issues related to future planning and development of the Center for Demography.

  • (60%) Analyze recently released Census Bureau data and selectively report on demographic trends in New Hampshire, New England and the United States and their implications for public policy.

  • (20%) Continue to represent the Center for Demography in interaction with the media and interested policy groups about recent state, regional, and national demographic trends, and their policy implications.

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

  • Ph.D., M.A.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • The ability to interpret and apply research; the ability to communicate in writing and orally with coworkers, agency clients and media; the ability to analyze, plan, and organize work.

Compensation Pay Range:  

$80.00-$90.00 per hour
