Applicants must hold an MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) and be board eligible/board certified in Infectious Diseases. Successful candidates must demonstrate clinical expertise in the care of infectious disease patients. Applicants must also be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Maryland and employment is contingent on eligibility to work in the United States. UMB does sponsor J-1 physician waivers and H-1B visas for qualified individuals providing patient care in accordance with relevant legal criteria. However, we are unable to guarantee the availability of J-1 waivers and H-1B sponsorship.
