About the Department
Provides administrative and operational support to the ULM HERO Program by helping in the coordination of outreach activities, managing harm reduction inventory, and assisting with event logistics to ensure efficient program delivery. Supports data collection, organization, and reporting processes, including overdose-related metrics and program outcomes, to facilitate accurate evaluation and successful grant completion.
Position Duties
- Maintain and track harm reduction inventory, including naloxone, fentanyl and xylazine test strips, and educational materials, to ensure accountability and availability for outreach activities
- Coordinate and schedule outreach events and training sessions with community organizations and first responder agencies, maintaining calendars and organizational tools
- Assist with planning, setup, and on-site logistical support for outreach events and trainings
- Attend outreach events and trainings to provide administrative and operational support
- Support real-time data collection during events, including participant information and training metrics
- Assist with the collection and organization of overdose-related data to support program impact assessment
- Prepare, print, and distribute educational and promotional materials for community outreach efforts
- Assist with completion of operational paperwork for ULM HERO staff and communicate with the ULM business office
- Communicate with internal team members to support workflow efficiency and program coordination
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Degree
- Must enjoy and be free for travel, hold a current driver’s license, have reliable transportation and a clean driving record to meet University reimbursement guidelines.
- Be free to travel overnight and occasionally on weekends.
- Must have an outgoing personality, enjoy meeting people and be able to work well and communicate with a variety of individuals and diverse populations.
- Must have a professional communication style and the ability to discuss the COP program knowledgably
- Be able to lift, pack and unpack boxes containing recruitment materials.
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Computer literate and good knowledge of basic Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to create and establish, build and sustain strong relationships.
- Be able to articulate the College of Pharmacy’s mission and values and discuss requirements and curriculum with prospective students, school counselors and parents through one-on-one encounters, in group settings and through pre-prepared presentations.
