Assist in procedure rooms in caring for patients, obtaining specimens, cleaning, and turnaround of procedure room. Be knowledgeable in high level disinfected practices and record keeping. Be proficient in endoscopic equipment, set up, maintenance and troubleshooting. They will cross train to assist in procedures as needed. Participates in staff development and actively pursues professional and self-development. Technical specialist capable of being a resource to colleagues.%3C/p%3E%3Cb%3EWhat You Will Do%3C/b%3E%3C/br%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EAccurately decontaminates and reprocesses endoscopic equipment and accessories. (40%)%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EMaintains the cleanliness of all procedure rooms and reprocessing room. (20%)%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EMaintains inventory of endoscopy supplies, reprocessing supplies and equipment. (10%)%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EUnder the direction of an RN, assists in procedure rooms to assist in caring for patient, obtaining specimens, and the cleaning and turn around of procedure rooms and pre and post recovery areas. (20%)%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAssists in the recovery room to meet and greet patients, assist RN’s with care and discharge of patients.
