About the role

The Mechanical Engineering Manager will provide oversight and leadership for a team of Mechanical Engineers while working directly with Operations, Show Systems, and Design teams to deliver exceptional ride and show mechanical systems for Universal's new theme park, Epic Universe. This role is responsible for leading the engineering design, documentation, and testing efforts to ensure all mechanical systems are designed to specification, constructed properly, and perform reliably in the theme park environment. Key responsibilities include managing the mechanical engineering team, establishing project objectives and deadlines, reviewing and approving design deliverables, resolving technical issues, and supporting the overall Epic Universe program. Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, a minimum of 7 years of mechanical engineering experience, and leadership experience managing a team of engineers. Proficiency with CAD software, project management principles, and engineering best practices is required.
