About the Role
We are looking for a talented and passionate Unity AR Developer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, and ship immersive augmented reality experiences across mobile and wearable platforms. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-performance AR applications that delight our users.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain AR applications using Unity3D and C#.
• Build and integrate AR features using ARFoundation, ARCore, and/or ARKit.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into polished interactive experiences.
• Optimize application performance for mobile devices — profiling, memory management, and frame rate tuning.
• Implement modular and maintainable code architectures following SOLID principles.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and sprint planning sessions.
• Debug and resolve complex issues across Unity runtime, rendering, and platform integrations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Unity releases, AR SDK updates, and industry trends.
• Work with asset pipelines to manage 3D models, animations, shaders, and textures efficiently.
Required Qualifications
Experience & Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience developing applications with Unity3D.
• Demonstrated portfolio of shipped AR/mobile applications or projects.
Technical Skills (Must Have)
• Proficiency in Unity3D — scene management, prefab workflows, animation systems, physics, and rendering pipelines.
• Strong command of C# — OOP, design patterns, LINQ, async/await, coroutines, and delegates/events.
• Experience with AR frameworks: ARFoundation, ARCore (Android), and/or ARKit (iOS).
• Solid understanding of mobile performance optimization and memory profiling tools.
• Familiarity with version control systems — Git workflows, branching strategies, and pull requests.
• Experience with Unity's build pipeline for iOS and Android platforms.
Nice to Have (Added Advantage)
While not mandatory, the following skills will significantly strengthen your application:
Unity Addressables
Experience with Unity Addressable Asset System for efficient dynamic content loading, memory management, and runtime asset bundling.
Unity Cloud Content Delivery (CCD)
Familiarity with Unity Cloud Content Delivery for managing, distributing, and updating game assets/content over-the-air without requiring full app resubmissions.
Additional advantages:
• Experience with shader development (Shader Graph or HLSL/GLSL).
• Knowledge of multiplayer networking in Unity (Netcode for GameObjects, Photon, or Mirror).
• Exposure to XR interaction toolkits (XRI) or OpenXR standards.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Unity — Unity Cloud Build, GameCI, or Fastlane.
• Experience with backend integrations: REST APIs, Firebase, or PlayFab.
