Who we want:


The Marketing and Communications Manager will develop and implement results-oriented marketing campaigns to drive revenue generation, organizational awareness, and audience engagement. In this role you will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing and Communications to develop content, serve as a brand ambassador, and manage marketing operations. This role is part of the Resource Development, Marketing and Communications team. In addition, this role will work with the Impact team to help meet design, collateral, digital marketing, and swag.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead creation of digital and printed collateral, including postcards, reports, one-pagers, invitations, graphics, and more, managing collateral budgets effectively to meet team needs and maximize ROI. 
  • Lead email marketing development and list management across core audience, donor campaign audiences, volunteers, and other groups, consistently evaluating content for up-to-date marketing outreach tactics.
  • Manage marketing operations and strengthen relationships with external vendors for design, website development, photography, video, printing, swag, and more.
  • Strategize and partner with the Community Giving, Corporate and Events teams to plan, write, design, and share one-pagers, flyers, email campaigns, digital content, and more, serving as brand ambassador and helping meet fundraising needs across donor base.
  • Work with Digital Marketing Manager to ensure visual identity and brand alignment are consistent across campaigns. Consistently refine audience segmentation strategies based on engagement metrics.
  • Conceptualize, plan, and implement integrated campaigns across channels using data-driven insight to achieve goals.
  • Other marketing and communication projects as assigned

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an area like marketing, communications, advertising, or graphic design.
  • Understanding of marketing fundamentals, best practices and emerging trends.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion and experience with the asset-based language.
  • Ability to manage projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Organization, attention to detail, and flexibility, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
  • Resourcefulness and a willingness to learn new things.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, WordPress, Canva, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sprout Social, and Canva
  • Maintains a positive, solutions-focused approach despite external situations.

This position is located in Austin, Texas, and reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
