General Statement of Duties Include: Daily Production of all meals for service and or catered
functions, while maintaining a safe/sanitary/clean work environment.
Responsibilities and Duties include:
• Responsible for all daily meal production and preparation
• Must clock in on time and be completely ready for service when it is scheduled to begin
• Must always wear the correct uniform, name tag, non-skid shoes and hat or hair net
• Must wear gloves when preparing foods that will not be cooked again after handling
• Must clean and sanitize station between each task and clean and sanitize entire station at
the end of shift
• Must wrap label and date all foods for storage
• Must be aware of dated foods and dispose when necessary
• Must be aware of cross contamination and use proper guidelines to avoid this
• Must be aware of foreign objects in food and use guidelines to avoid this
• Responsible for ensuring quality and safe service of all meals while following
Department of Health guidelines
• Responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and safe work environment on a daily basis
• Responsible for ensuring meals are properly produced following recipes and menus on a
daily basis
• Responsible for proper rotation and storage of all items used during meal production and
service on a daily basis
• Must be able to work independently as well as lead by example while ensuring
department compliance with facility and union guidelines
• Must have working knowledge of menus, recipes, and inventory to ensure proper service
on a daily basis.
• Must be professional and reliable while ensuring proper department operations
• Performs other related duties assigned by supervisors
• Must attend regular in-service and or training to ensure proper knowledge of food service
guidelines
• Ability to accept and complete duties delegated by supervisors
• Should always be courteous and helpful to our residents
• Should take criticism and accept changes in a positive way
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Serve safe certification preferred
• Must have 3 years previous experience in food service industry
• Knowledge of recipes & all production aspects of food service
