Key Responsibilities:
The Assistant Manager GX/FX is responsible position is required to supervise (GSE) ground service equipment and facilities maintenance operations at United. Responsible for the local maintenance planning and execution; productivity, accountability and dependability program execution and (SLA) service level agreement compliance delivering the optimum level of GSE and Facilities in support of safe and reliable airline operations. Excels in employee interaction, and ensures priorities are understood and acted upon. Sets expectations and gains commitment. Mentors current and new supervisors. Team building skills with M&A and union employees both internal and external to the Tech Ops Division.
Location:
This position is based in Cleveland, OH and follows an onsite work schedule.
What’s Needed to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience (post-secondary education in a technical- or maintenance)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance- related role
- Knowledge of planning and execution of maintenance operations, managing a team of maintenance personnel, advanced computer skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (preferred qualification)
- ASE Certification
- Experience leading team of automotive or gas diesel employees
- Hydraulic Experience
- Knowledge of GSE-related maintenance operations
Knowledge of facilities/building maintenance skills/trades, such as Electrical, HVAC, Conveyor, Plumbing, building maintenance/systems
