Aircraft Mechanic Apprentice Job Summary: An Aircraft Mechanic Apprentice at United is responsible for learning the necessary skills and techniques to inspect, maintain, and repair aircraft. You will work under the guidance of experienced Mechanics, performing inspections, maintenance tasks, and repairs in accordance with established procedures and safety standards. Responsibilities: - Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft inspections, maintenance, and repairs under the supervision of experienced Mechanics - Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems and components - Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities - Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations - Actively participate in ongoing training and development programs Requirements: - Enrolled in or graduated from an FAA-approved aircraft mechanic training program - Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams - Attention to detail and a commitment to safety - Willingness to work in a team environment and learn from experienced Mechanics - Flexible schedule to accommodate shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays
