Role Description The Unit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Karur, responsible for leading a team of insurance advisors to achieve sales and business development targets. Day-to-day activities include recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring advisors, driving sales of life insurance products, and ensuring adherence to company processes and regulatory guidelines. The role involves tracking performance metrics, conducting regular reviews, and implementing action plans to improve productivity and customer acquisition. The Unit Manager will build and maintain strong customer relationships, support advisors in client meetings, and ensure quality in need-based selling and service delivery. This position also includes coordinating with branch and regional teams, participating in training programs, and contributing to overall business growth in the assigned territory.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, with the ability to drive targets through team management and field activities.
- Experience in team leadership, including recruiting, training, coaching, and performance management of frontline advisors or sales staff.
- Customer relationship management capabilities, with a focus on understanding financial needs and offering appropriate life insurance solutions.
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of life insurance products and basic financial planning concepts; prior experience in insurance or financial services is preferred.
- Ability to work in an on-site, target-driven environment in Karur, with strong ownership, integrity, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification in business, finance, or related fields is an advantage.
- Comfort with using basic digital tools and CRM or sales tracking systems to monitor performance and maintain records.
