Role Description The Unit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for leading a team to achieve business and sales objectives within the assigned unit. Day-to-day activities include managing and mentoring team members, driving customer acquisition, and promoting life insurance products that align with customer needs and financial goals. The role involves monitoring performance metrics, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The Unit Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare regular reports, and contribute to local market development through outreach and relationship-building initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in team leadership, people management, and performance coaching.
- Ability in sales planning, target achievement, and business development within financial services or insurance.
- Competence in customer relationship management, needs analysis, and consultative selling.
- Knowledge of life insurance products, basic financial concepts, and regulatory requirements.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience in managing on-site teams, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial services in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred.
