Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Unit Manager role based in Brahmapur. The Unit Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a team of sales professionals to achieve health insurance sales targets and expand the customer base in the assigned territory. Daily activities include planning and monitoring sales activities, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, distribution partners, and local stakeholders, as well as driving initiatives to improve customer experience and retention. The Unit Manager will also analyze performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement local market strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in health insurance, financial services, or related sectors, with prior team leadership or unit management responsibilities.
- Strong people management skills, including team coaching, performance management, and motivation to achieve individual and unit targets.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to build long-term relationships, handle queries or concerns effectively, and ensure high service standards.
- Solid understanding of sales processes, local market dynamics, and basic financial or business metrics relevant to insurance or BFSI.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a diverse set of customers and partners.
- High level of integrity, adherence to regulatory and company compliance requirements, and commitment to ethical business practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Commerce, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Comfort with reporting tools, basic MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and willingness to use digital and CRM platforms for managing sales activities.
