Role Overview
We are looking for a highly competent and process-driven Unit Manager to lead operations at our institutional catering site across Maharashtra. The candidate must hold a Hotel Management degree, be fluent in spoken and written English, have in-depth knowledge of all compliance requirements, industry norms, and operational processes, and be willing to stay on-site during operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring operational oversight, team management, compliance monitoring, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end site operations, ensuring smooth execution of all catering and hospitality services.
- Supervise kitchen, service, housekeeping, and store teams for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with FSSAI guidelines, food safety, hygiene protocols, and statutory norms.
- Oversee menu planning, food production quality, and portion control.
- Maintain and enforce all process documentation for audits, inspections, and client reporting.
- Monitor inventory management, vendor supplies, and cost control measures.
- Handle staff scheduling, attendance, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate closely with the Head Office for reporting, billing, procurement, and operational updates.
- Liaise with client representatives to ensure satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, compliance changes, and operational innovations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or Catering Services (Mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in institutional catering, mess services, or large-scale food operations.
- Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of statutory norms, FSSAI compliance, and safety standards.
- Process Orientation: Familiar with SOP-driven operations and documentation practices.
- Communication Skills: Fluent in English (written & spoken); Hindi/Marathi knowledge is an advantage.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead multi-department teams effectively under pressure.
- Tech Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, inventory tools, and basic reporting software.
- Mobility: Must be willing to stay on-site during operations.
