Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Unit Head, located in Chennai. The Business Unit Head will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end operations, strategic planning, and driving the financial and operational success of the unit. Key responsibilities include team management, achieving growth and profitability targets, overseeing patient care quality and customer satisfaction, developing partnerships, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and company protocols. Leadership and collaboration will be essential in advancing the unit's goals and contributing to the organization's overall mission.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Centre Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the hospital/centre.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Implement and maintain Ayurveda-specific clinical protocols and service standards.
- Monitor facility management, front office, housekeeping, and patient flow.
2. Patient Experience & Quality
- Ensure delivery of exceptional patient care aligned with Ayurveda treatment standards.
- Address patient escalations and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor patient feedback, satisfaction scores, and service excellence metrics.
- Drive patient safety, hygiene, and compliance measures.
3. Financial & P&L Management
- Own the centre’s P&L, budgeting, and cost control.
- Track revenue targets, expenses, and operational KPIs.
- Drive business development initiatives to increase footfall and patient retention.
- Maintain optimal resource utilization.
4. Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams including doctors, therapists, PRMs, admin & support staff.
- Conduct performance reviews, monitor productivity, and ensure training needs are addressed.
- Foster a professional, positive, and patient-centric work culture.
5. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory compliances are met for Ayurveda hospitals.
- Oversee documentation, audits, licenses, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure adherence to NABH/NABH-AYUSH or internal quality standards.
6. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with central functions: HR, Finance, Marketing, Clinical, and Supply Chain.
- Support marketing and community outreach initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
- Build relationships with external stakeholders—vendors, government bodies, and local community.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- MHA / MBA (Hospital Administration or Healthcare Management preferred)
Experience:
- 8–12 years of experience in hospital operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in Ayurveda, AYUSH, integrative medicine, or wellness hospitals preferred.
