Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
· Promote and implement UHI’s mission in the lives of individuals supported.
· Foster a stable living environment by prioritizing individuals' rights to respect, dignity, choice, and safety.
· Dependable, reliable, and maintain regular work attendance.
· Complete all duties as a Mandatory Abuse Reporter.
· Respond to emergencies and/or crises, which may involve physical intervention.
· Administer medications accurately and as needed.
· Maintain current certifications, including CPR and First Aid (renew every two years) and OIS (renew every two years).
· Complete Core Competencies as required by the state of Oregon.
· Fulfill a minimum of 12 hours of relevant continuing education every biennium.
· Provide and encourage individuals to participate in community outings and planned activities.
· Research and implement new programs and activities aligned with individuals' interests.
· Assist with transporting and escorting individuals to and from activities or appointments.
· Operate vehicles safely, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
· Provide physical assistance to individuals entering or exiting vehicles and secure wheelchairs safely with tie-downs.
· Use mobile devices and applications as necessary for task tracking and documentation (downloading apps may be required).
· Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Excellent organizational and project management skills.
· Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
· Detail-oriented and willing to learn.
· Proficiency in computer applications and mobile technology.
· Ability to interpret instructions and perform basic math calculations.
· Capable of preparing written reports with accurate grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· At least 18 years old.
· Active, unrestricted State of Oregon RN license in good standing.
· Valid Oregon driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
· Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
· Successful completion of a State/Federal criminal history check and pre-employment drug screening for federally illegal substances.
