About the role

Our Client:

An early-stage company developing a patented IoT solution designed to track worker movements in manufacturing and construction environments. The product integrates PCB boards, microcontrollers, and locating beacons into safety vests to gather critical data for improved safety and operational insights.


The Opportunity:

The founder seeks an experienced technology leader to guide the development of an MVP and support the company in preparing for successful product commercialization and investor engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic project and technology roadmap.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior technical resources.
  • Oversee MVP development and support pilot testing.
  • Prepare technical documentation and investor-facing materials.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Former CTO or senior technology leader with experience in early-stage startups and successful technology commercialization (ideally with an exit).
  • Strong background in IoT systems, particularly microcontrollers and locating beacons.
  • Strategic and hands-on, able to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Initial engagement of ~40 hours over 4 weeks, with potential for ongoing part-time/fractional involvement.
  • Location: Remote
  • Rate Range: $100 – $150 per hour
