About the role
Student Employment plays an important role in UMass Dartmouth's day-to-day operations. Many departments depend on student employees as a source of skilled labor, while students gain meaningful work experience and earn money to help defray educational expenses.
In order to provide an efficient and effective service, the UMass Student Employment Office (SEO) manages an employment system that provides fair access to jobs and departmental support.
The SEO is responsible for administering the on-campus work programs: Federal Work Study and Non-Work Study Programs.
Reminder: Students may not work before all the necessary paperwork and processes have been completed. Allowing students to work prior to all the necessary paperwork and procedures being completed may affect your department's Federal Work Study fund eligibility.
