The Office of Admissions is seeking mature and responsible undergraduate students to work closely with the Associate Director of Access and Outreach and the Access and Outreach team to support strategic initiatives to enhance efforts toward the recruitment and enrollment of underrepresented students. Admission Diversity Fellows share their own experiences as underrepresented students Each Admission Diversity Fellow will assist with the following items including, but not limited to: The URep UMass program series including: URep UMass: Ready, Set, Apply! URep UMass: Real Talks Supporting and participating in Admissions Recruitment and Yield Events Helping to demystify the college application and financial aid processes by serving on panels for both students and families throughout the academic year, in-person or on virtual platforms. Conducting in-person or virtual tours for special group visits What are we looking for in our Admission Diversity Fellows? Good Academic Standing Strong relationship-building skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Campus involvement in at least one area of interest and passion (preferred but not required) Comfort with speaking to and working with staff, faculty, and student populations Ability to manage multiple tasks and proactively seek help when necessary to complete a task Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel; and Google suite. Some evening and weekend hours required with hours to increase during programming weekends/dates Attendance at weekly staff meetings.
