About the role

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? Join our team and contribute to the future of fusion energy. As Process Modeller, you will play a pivotal role in supporting fusion fuel cycle development teams in producing computational models of process equipment, integrating the models of equipment items, developing novel solutions for modelling of specialist equipment and new modelling approaches for the cases where no relevant solutions exist. The role will also contribute to the definition and analysis of experimental work required to generate data for model validation. Key Accountabilities: Ensure that your behaviour promotes the safety, health and welfare of yourself and your colleagues Actively promote UKAEA's values, championing a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion. Support the creation and development of models for fusion fuel cycle systems and processes to integrate into designs for a prototype fusion fuel cycle. Maintain and update the simulation environment as required for specific applications. Contribute to the development, validation, and implementation of the models of hydrogen-specific phenomena for the conditions relevant to fusion fuel cycle processes. Execute work packages as part of a multidisciplinary team, manging delivery to maintain standards of quality, checking, review and deadlines. Responsible for sourcing data for the validation of models from literature. Develop scope for experimental work required for model validation. Represent and promote the Tritium Fuel Cycle division's innovative offerings and technical specialisms both internally and externally, working collaboratively with other UKAEA departments as well as with external partners. Work in accordance with UKAEA policy and undertake any other reasonable tasks or duties requested by your manager.
