- As a UK Tax Technology Associate, you will be a hands‑on contributor supporting the design, build, and enhancement of tax technology solutions. Working closely with tax specialists, developers, and product teams, you will help translate tax processes and requirements into automated, user‑focused technology solutions. Your work will span different stages of the solution lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements.

Our teams design and deliver technology‑enabled tax solutions that improve compliance, enhance reporting, and create sustainable value for both clients and internal stakeholders.
- As a Senior Associate in UK Tax Technology, you will contribute to the development and delivery of software-driven tax solutions, combining your understanding of UK tax concepts with hands-on technology experience. You will support the design, build, and enhancement of tax products and platforms—both commercial and internal—ensuring they align with regulatory requirements, business objectives, and user needs.
- Working closely with tax specialists, product managers, designers, and engineers, you will help translate tax and business requirements into scalable, practical technology solutions. Your role spans the product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, release support, and ongoing enhancements such as upgrades, regulatory updates, and maintenance. For client-facing solutions, you will also contribute to implementation, adoption, and go‑to‑market support activities.
- Focused on collaboration and relationships, you will build strong connections with clients and internal teams, developing the confidence to manage workstreams and guide junior team members. Role Description
- Tax Technology (Senior Associate)
- You are a technologist with a solid understanding of tax and accounting concepts and hands‑on experience developing tax technology solutions. You contribute to ideation, design, and delivery of solutions, working closely with engineers, tax specialists, and stakeholders. You communicate clearly, manage stakeholders effectively, and challenge traditional approaches to solution design based on experience and best practice.
Core Requirements
Strong understanding of modern technology stacks, with hands‑on experience delivering software solutions. Demonstrated experience contributing to or leading solution builds, including time spent at the developer level. Technology skills including: Web application development (full‑stack, front‑end, back‑end) Backend API development Frameworks such as Node.js, .NET, FastAPI Languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, Python SQL and NoSQL databases Authentication mechanisms and enterprise‑scale design considerations Experience delivering technology solutions in the tax domain across one or more tax areas (e.g., VAT, CIT, WHT, IHT). Proven stakeholder management skills and a strong delivery track record.
Qualifications And Technical Skills
- MSDN and/or AWS certified practitioner.
- Working knowledge of relevant UK tax and accounting concepts.
- Understanding of ERP systems, data flows, and operational processes within tax teams.
- Evidence of delivering similar projects, translating tax requirements into scalable technology solutions, and working effectively with development teams.
Tax Technology Delivery Focus
As part of a multidisciplinary development team, you will build and enhance software solutions across multiple technology domains, contributing to end‑to‑end tax technology delivery. Key technical expectations include: Current, hands‑on build experience across: Web applications and APIs Unit and regression testing Azure/AWS deployment and CloudOps Agile delivery using Azure DevOps Experience integrating AI capabilities (e.g., LLMs, RAG/COT approaches) into domain solutions. Familiarity with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, AWS Kiro, or similar. Ability to deliver against defined timelines and quality standards. Willingness to challenge architectural decisions and continuously learn in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
