About the Role

We are looking to hire an experienced Assistant Manager in UK Personal & Partnership Tax to support and manage our self-assessment compliance portfolio. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing SA100 (individual) and SA800 (partnership) tax returns, including tax returns with rental property income and MTD submissions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review UK self-assessment tax returns (SA100, SA800) for individuals, partners, and partnerships.
• Manage a portfolio of clients and ensure timely submissions and compliance.
• Prepare and file MTD for Income Tax submissions, including rental property MTD filings.
• Liaise with HMRC regarding client matters, queries, and compliance issues.
• Work closely with internal teams and clients to obtain necessary information and resolve queries.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide advisory support where required.
• Assist in supervising junior team members and reviewing their work.
• Ensure compliance with UK tax legislation and internal processes.
  
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in UK personal & partnership tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of self-assessment filing and HMRC procedures.
• Experience preparing and reviewing SA100 & SA800 returns is essential.
• Experience with rental property tax returns and MTD filings.
• Proficient in TaxCalc / CCH / Digita or similar tax software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and client management skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.

Qualification

Qualification-

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com)
• MBA (Finance preferred)
• CMA
• CA (Qualified/Semi-Qualified)
