Role Description This full-time remote role focuses on preparing and reviewing UK self-assessment tax returns for a range of individual and business clients. The UK Self Assessment Tax Accountant will gather and analyse client financial information, ensure accurate reporting of income, expenses, and reliefs, and identify applicable allowances and deductions. Day-to-day tasks include managing client communication, answering tax-related queries, and providing clear guidance on filing obligations and deadlines. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation, supporting the wider accounting team with related compliance tasks, and contributing to process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency. This position requires working independently while collaborating virtually with colleagues to deliver high-quality, timely tax services.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Tax Compliance and practical knowledge of UK self assessment rules and deadlines with experience of more than 3 years in UK Personal tax return..
- Candidates should possess skills in Tax Preparation and the ability to accurately prepare and review individual and partnership tax returns in TAX Calc software with working file.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Tax principles and UK personal and business taxation frameworks.
- Candidates should possess Accounting skills, including general ledger understanding and familiarity with UK accounting practices.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent experience in UK tax) is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting and tax software are beneficial.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines, and experience working remotely are beneficial.
