Description
- You will be trusted with a degree of autonomy in delivering your work, empowering you to take initiative and apply your judgement whilst knowing dedicated support is always available.
- You will be working on more complex UK tax returns and projects, take ownership of your own portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for the management of the UK tax return process for your clients, with support from your manager.
- You will prepare UK tax returns and tax computations for manager review. Using your initiative to conduct well-supported technical research applying relevant legislation, tax authoritative guidance, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) manuals and the firm’s resources to effectively generate an opinion.
- You will engage directly with clients and HMRC, developing relationships built on trust, accuracy, and responsiveness. You will provide clear, timely communication and become a reliable point of contact for day-to-day tax matters.
- You will take responsibility for driving the tax return process for your clients, proactively managing deadlines, organising and prioritising day to day tasks. Considering Work in Progress management/recoveries on assignments, identifying opportunities and proposing additional fees where appropriate.
- You will be a consistent and positive role model, mentoring junior team members and fostering a supportive learning environment. This includes actively participating in and presenting at training sessions, as well as taking responsibility for the development of Technicians by providing timely, constructive feedback to peers.
- You will contribute to a culture of collaboration becoming a valued and proactive member of a specialised team. Developing and building strong internal relationships by networking within the tax service line and other service lines, gaining insights and sharing knowledge to enhance overall service delivery.
- This role is key to the operation of our private tax function, contributing to team’s wider goals whilst maintaining professional excellence.
