Frontend Developer

We're a small UK-based web hosting company looking for a dependable and communicative frontend developer to join us on a long-term monthly retainer. Our website needs ongoing maintenance, structural clean-up, and new page builds. We're also planning a full rebuild of our WordPress blog. This is not a full-time job - just a steady monthly role for someone who's detail-focused, understands clean frontend work, and can manage tasks independently. If you enjoy tidying up messy code, working with small teams, and helping a business grow over time, we'd love to hear from you. 🧱 The Current Setup - Tailwind CSS (poorly structured, likely bloated) - Static HTML/CSS site (no JS framework) - WHMCS client area at /clients (styling consistency needed) - WordPress blog at /insights (needs full redesign to match main site) 🧠 What We Need - Review and clean up the current HTML/CSS codebase - Rebuild and re-theme the /insights WordPress blog to match the main site - Create new pages and sections (e.g. service pages, feature blocks) - Maintain brand consistency and responsive design across all platforms - Align styling between the main site and WHMCS templates - Communicate clearly with weekly progress updates - Pick up and manage tasks using our Jira board ✅ Ideal Candidate - Strong HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind, and basic JavaScript - Good eye for UX/UI and responsive design - WHMCS Smarty template experience is a big plus - Able to work independently and proactively - Communication via Slack or Upwork messaging. - Comfortable using Jira for task tracking 💰 Budget & Contract - $250/month retainer - Paid monthly via milestones - Flexible hours - no full-time commitment expected - Long-term opportunity if the fit is right - Retainer can grow as we gain traction and more clients 🌟 Bonus: Client Web Design Work (Optional) We occasionally take on small client web projects via our hosting business.
