About the role

Working Student Cyber Security (m/f/d), (20 hours/week, 100% remote)

The ujima cyber security team is now looking for your support to optimally protect our customers from hacker attacks.

18 million cybercrime victims in Germany alone in 2021. Around 390,000 new malware variants appear every day! All of this causes billions in damage. In times when ransomware-as-a-service can be bought on the darknet, cyber security must be a priority in every company's IT strategy.

While attackers are constantly evolving their strategies, we recognize that true protection goes beyond mere product solutions. It is an ongoing, integrative process. With our expertise and commitment, we help companies to efficiently design and continuously optimize this process.

From our Frankfurt office, we at ujima GmbH support our customers in making their IT systems more secure with our managed security services - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

In keeping with the meaning of the African word "ujima", "cooperation and responsibility" are central to our dealings with our customers and our employees.

With us you get

  • Flexibility in the workplace: in the home office or in the ujima office in Frankfurt - whatever suits you best
  • Working hours adapted to your needs;
  • intensive training and exciting development opportunities;
  • a collegial and innovative working environment with plenty of freedom and a high level of responsibility
  • regular further training and opportunities for specialization and development;
  • fair pay on an hourly basis;
  • a fixed employment contract for working students;
  • the opportunity to write your Bachelor's or Master's thesis with us

We need you, because

  • You monitor the market and keep up with the trends of the attackers.
  • You support our security analysts in analyzing and documenting attacks
  • You support our project team in advising customers on the introduction of our solutions
  • You will take on administrative tasks in the Security Operation Center and our internal IT department

We fit together when

  • You have a passion for IT security and are motivated to get started with us in this area;
  • You are studying computer science, business informatics or a related course of study
  • You are interested in IT security and already have know-how in current technologies and solutions, or good IT infrastructure knowledge
  • You work independently and organize your tasks autonomously;
  • Ideally, you already have experience in IT or IT administration;
  • You have good communication skills and are business fluent in German (mother tongue or C1 or better) and English (C1 or better)

We offer you a working environment tailored to you in a young and agile team. You decide where you work. Your working hours are coordinated with your study times. And all this with fair pay.

Please send us your informative application documents (cover letter (optional), CV, references, including salary expectations) to join@ujima.de (https://mailto: join@ujima.de ).

We look forward to getting to know you and will get back to you as soon as possible.
