Design Team | 2–3 Months | 1 Opening(s) | Remote / Hybrid
▌ ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a designer who thinks in user journeys, not just screens. You will own the end-to-end design of a multi-module web and mobile application, working directly with the founders to shape how our users experience the product. The output must work seamlessly across Mac, Android, and all major browsers. This is a high-ownership role. You will go from discovery and wireframes all the way to high-fidelity prototypes and developer handoff — and you will be expected to defend your design decisions.
▌ EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree (B.Des / M.Des / BA / BSc) in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Fine Arts, Computer Science, or a related field. (Self-taught designers with an exceptional portfolio are highly encouraged to apply).
▌ EXPERIENCE
- 0–1 Years: A strong portfolio demonstrating product design for web and/or mobile is required.
- Experience designing data-heavy interfaces (search, filter, lists, dashboards) is a strong plus.
- Experience conducting user interviews and translating findings into design decisions.
▌ TOOLS REQUIRED
- Primary Design: Figma (auto-layout, components, variants, and interactive prototyping).
- Whiteboarding: FigJam, Miro, or similar.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of front-end constraints (HTML/CSS limitations).
▌ WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Solid understanding of responsive design and mobile-first thinking.
- Strong visual sensibility — typography, whitespace, hierarchy, colour, and motion.
- Comfortable working in a fast iteration loop with direct founder feedback.
▌ DURATION
- Duration: 2–3 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role for outstanding performers.
- Start Date: Mid April - Mid May.
- The role is Unpaid
