Experience Level: 1 to 5 years of professional experience in a UI/UX and/or Graphic Design role.
Core Designer Responsibilities:
- This designer will be a central resource, responsible for a broad spectrum of projects. This should be used to gauge their ability to context-switch and manage diverse deliverables:
- Marketing & Corporate Collateral: Designing presentations, event materials, social media assets, and general marketing materials.
- Web & Digital Design: Designing website pages, landing pages, and creating/maintaining product portals.
- Product Assistance: Creating design assets for the product team and, if capable, assisting with the visual organization and formatting of Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
Key Requirements:
Essential Technical Proficiency:
Candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency and practical experience with the following Adobe Creative Cloud tools. They must show that they use these tools in a production environment:
- Adobe Illustrator: For vector graphics, corporate branding, and detailed icons.
- Adobe Photoshop: For image editing, photo manipulation, and high-fidelity web/app mockups.
- Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects: For video editing, motion graphics, and basic animation needed for marketing/social media.
Critical Soft Skills & Design Aptitude:
- Versatility: The proven ability to switch gears from a high-level UI/UX task (like a product portal) to a detailed graphic design task (like an event banner).
- Excellent Design Intuition: A clear understanding of modern design principles, aesthetics, and user-centric design practices.
- Strong Attention to Detail: Meticulousness concerning typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency across all formats.
Portfolio Review:
A strong design portfolio is essential. It must clearly demonstrate a breadth of work covering all three areas: UI/UX, Graphic Design, and Motion/Video.
