Job details:
We are looking for a UI/UX Developer who can design, build, and ship product experiences end-to-end. This is not a traditional designer or frontend developer role — you will work across UX thinking, interface design, and frontend implementation, using modern AI tools to accelerate delivery.
You should be comfortable figuring things out quickly, working with minimal context, and interacting directly with clients when needed.
What You’ll Actually Do
Lead by Doing: Design, build, and review scalable micro services and web applications that backs up analytics platforms and ML systems. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership, with significant time doing coding.
Set Technical Direction: Define and promote best practices in Full stack development. Evaluate emerging technologies and guide adoption to drive innovation.
Partner Cross-Functionally: Work closely with ML Engineers, data engineers, business leaders, and IT teams to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Deliver at Scale: Ensure projects are executed with high quality, on time, and aligned with business goals. Proactively identify risks and enforce compliance standards, especially around data governance and security.
Translate ambiguous requirements into clear UX flows and working UI.
Design interfaces in Figma and implement them in React.
Build responsive, production-ready frontend components.
Use AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) to speed up development and problem-solving.
Work with APIs and backend teams to integrate data into UI.
Handle client discussions for UI/UX feedback and iteration.
Continuously refine experiences based on logic, not just aesthetics.
Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)
1. Product Thinking
Can break down a problem into flows, states, and edge cases.
Doesn’t just “design screens” — understands how things work.
2. UI + Frontend Dual Capability
- Advanced React: strong fundamentals, state management, performance optimization.
- Modern UI development: Tailwind CSS and Shading/UI for maintainable, scalable interfaces.
- Component design systems: Building reusable, scalable UI libraries.
- Storybook: Isolated component development and documentation.
- Expertise in designing/developing micro-service architectures
- Expertise in web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs)
- Extensive cloud-native experience (AWS/Azure) with services like Lambda, ECS, or Azure Functions
- Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
- CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, Git, and automation tools
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (Masters/PhD preferred)
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
3. AI Tool Usage
- Has actively used AI tools to:
- Generate code
- Debug issues
- Improve productivity
- Not just “aware” — uses them in workflow
4. Communication
Can explain decisions clearly
Comfortable interacting with clients (calls, feedback, iterations)
5. Learning Agility
Can pick up new tools, frameworks, or domains quickly
Doesn’t get blocked waiting for instructions
Good to Have:
Experience with design systems
Familiarity with TypeScript, Tailwind, or component libraries
Basic understanding of backend/API structures
Exposure to AI-driven UIUX patterns
Experience in data warehouses and lakehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Databricks) and vector databases (PGVector, Opensearch)
Apache Airflow for data/ML workflow orchestration
Good understanding of LLMs and RAG based applications
Skills:
Understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Experience with prototyping tools like Axure, UXPin, or Invision.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas and rationale.
Ability to identify and solve design problems and improve user experience.
Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
