Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and fast-learning UI/UX Design Intern who is interested in product interfaces, user experience, layout design, icons, illustrations, sketching, and clean digital design.
This role is suitable for students, freshers, self-taught designers, and candidates from design-related backgrounds who want to build a strong foundation in real-world UI/UX design.
The intern will work closely with the Head of Design, project managers, senior designers, and developers to understand how websites, apps, and digital products are designed from idea to final handoff.
We are not expecting perfection. We are looking for someone who has basic design understanding, a good creative eye, curiosity, and the willingness to learn through feedback and execution.
What the Intern Will Learn and Work On
The intern will learn and work on:
UI/UX fundamentals including wireframes, user flows, page structure, interface design, and usability.
Basics of layout design, spacing, typography, color, visual hierarchy, and design consistency.
Website and mobile app interface design.
Product screen design and responsive layouts.
Icon design, simple illustrations, sketching, and visual elements for interfaces.
Design systems, reusable components, UI patterns, and consistency across screens.
UX page content structure and understanding how content supports design.
AI-assisted research, ideation, image references, and modern design workflows.
Developer handoff, design documentation, and preparing files for implementation.
Understanding development constraints and how design decisions affect execution.
Taking frequent feedback and improving work through multiple iterations.
Key Responsibilities
Create wireframes, UI layouts, visual concepts, and basic prototypes.
Assist in designing website and mobile app screens.
Create icons, simple illustrations, sketches, and UI-supporting visual assets.
Research competitors, references, design patterns, and industry trends.
Improve layouts, typography, spacing, colors, and overall design quality.
Support design systems, reusable UI components, and interface consistency.
Prepare design files, assets, and handoff notes for developers.
Participate in feedback sessions and make required design changes quickly.
Learn to work within deadlines, project requirements, and real client/product expectations.
Take ownership of assigned tasks with minimal handholding after initial guidance.
Preferred Skills and Requirements
Basic design knowledge is required in UI/UX, interface design, graphic design, illustration, or any related design field.
Figma knowledge is mandatory.
Basic understanding of layout, spacing, typography, colors, and visual hierarchy.
Interest in icons, illustrations, sketching, and clean digital interfaces.
Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop knowledge is preferred.
Basic portfolio or sample design work is preferred.
Candidates with UI/UX + illustration, UI/UX + graphic design, or UI/UX + sketching skills will be preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a design field is preferred, but candidates from any bachelor’s background may apply if they have strong design interest and basic design knowledge.
Candidate Expectations
We are looking for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, open to feedback, and serious about learning design professionally.
This is a fast-paced environment with real project responsibilities, frequent feedback, and constant deadlines. The role is best suited for someone who wants to grow seriously in UI/UX and product design, not someone looking for a simple clock-in and clock-out internship.
What Candidates Will Gain
Hands-on experience with real website and app projects.
Strong foundation in UI/UX basics and professional workflows.
Exposure to product interfaces, icons, illustrations, design systems, and developer handoff.
Collaboration experience with designers, project managers, and developers.
Frequent feedback and practical learning.
Portfolio-worthy project experience.
Personal career guidance and growth support.
Exposure to modern AI tools and design workflows.
Additional Benefits and Work Culture
Weekend cricket and indoor games such as UNO, Jenga, carrom, and more.
Yearly team trip.
Extra-hours bonus, wherever applicable.
Personal development course support.
AI tool subscriptions, wherever required for work.
Weekend design challenges with prizes.
Snacks and breakfast support including milk, coffee, bread, jam, and similar items.
Friendly, learning-focused, and fast-growing team environment.
