Job Scope:
Yotta is building next-generation AI-powered products, including no-code AI builders, enterprise SaaS platforms, intelligent workflow systems, and data-intensive applications.
We are looking for an experienced Product Designer who can transform complex business and technology workflows into intuitive, effective, and scalable product experiences. You will own design initiatives from problem discovery through delivery—working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders.
This role requires a balance of user empathy, product thinking, interaction design, visual craft, and commercial awareness. You will help shape product direction, improve design quality, and ensure that design decisions contribute to meaningful user and business outcomes.
Total /Relevant Experience:
Key Responsibilities:
A. Product Discovery and Strategy
- Partner with Product Managers and business stakeholders to understand product goals, customer needs, operational constraints, and success metrics.
- Participate in product discovery through stakeholder interviews, user research, competitive analysis, workshops, and data review.
- Frame ambiguous problems, identify user pain points, and translate insights into clear design opportunities.
- Contribute to product strategy, roadmap discussions, feature prioritisation, and experience principles.
- Define hypotheses and success measures for major design initiatives.
- Advocate for users while balancing business priorities, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines.
B. End-to-End Product Design
- Own the complete design process for assigned products and features, from discovery and concept development through implementation and iteration.
- Create information architectures, journey maps, personas, task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces.
- Design complex experiences such as dashboards, workflow builders, configuration tools, editors, administrative systems, and AI-assisted interactions.
- Simplify technical and data-heavy workflows without reducing necessary functionality.
- Account for complete product behaviour, including loading, empty, success, validation, permission, error, and edge-case states.
- Design responsive experiences across relevant devices and screen sizes.
- Validate concepts early and refine solutions using research, feedback, and product data.
C. Interaction and Visual Design
- Produce polished, implementation-ready interfaces with strong attention to hierarchy, typography, spacing, colour, and content.
- Define clear interaction patterns for navigation, forms, tables, search, filtering, data visualisation, drag-and-drop experiences, and conversational interfaces.
- Create interactive prototypes to communicate behaviour, validate ideas, and align stakeholders.
- Apply accessibility and inclusive-design principles throughout the design process.
- Maintain a high standard of consistency and craft across products.
D. AI and Emerging Product Experiences
- Design transparent, usable, and trustworthy experiences for AI-powered products.
- Create interaction patterns for prompting, model configuration, AI-generated output, review and approval, feedback, and human oversight.
- Consider uncertainty, explainability, user control, data privacy, and failure recovery when designing AI interactions.
- Explore new interaction models while ensuring that experiences remain understandable and valuable to users.
E. Design Systems and Scalability
- Use and actively contribute to Yotta’s shared design system and Figma component libraries.
- Identify reusable patterns and propose new components, variants, guidelines, and interaction standards.
- Work with Engineering to ensure components are feasible, accessible, and implemented consistently.
- Help improve design-system governance, documentation, adoption, and quality.
- Reduce design and implementation inconsistencies across products.
F. Research, Validation, and Optimisation
- Plan or support user interviews, concept validation, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and product reviews.
- Convert qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable design improvements.
- Use product analytics, customer feedback, support insights, and usability findings to evaluate shipped experiences.
- Iterate based on evidence and track whether design changes improve defined outcomes.
- Present research findings and design recommendations clearly to product teams and leadership.
G. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Delivery
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Data Science, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
- Facilitate design workshops, critiques, and decision-making sessions.
- Present design rationale clearly and build alignment among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide developers with clear specifications, prototypes, annotations, assets, and interaction guidance.
- Review implemented experiences and work with Engineering to resolve quality gaps before release.
- Represent design during sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and product demonstrations.
H. Design Leadership
- Raise the quality of product thinking and design execution across the team.
- Provide thoughtful feedback during design critiques and product reviews.
- Mentor less-experienced designers and support their professional development.
- Help improve design processes, collaboration practices, tools, and documentation.
- Communicate risks, trade-offs, and recommendations with confidence and clarity.
- Encourage a culture of customer focus, experimentation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Must-have skill
- 5+ years of professional product design experience, preferably working on SaaS, enterprise, B2B, AI, cloud, or data-intensive products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, structured problem-solving, systems thinking, and measurable product impact.
- Demonstrated experience taking complex features or products from discovery through launch and iteration.
- Strong command of interaction design, information architecture, user flows, prototyping, and visual design.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, variables, prototyping, and design libraries.
- Experience designing responsive web applications and complex desktop workflows.
- Strong understanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, and inclusive design.
- Experience collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers in agile product teams.
- Ability to interpret customer feedback, research findings, business requirements, and product data.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-moving, evolving environment.

- Exploration of alternative solutions and relevant trade-offs.
- Evolution from early concepts to the final experience.
- Collaboration with Product and Engineering.
- Outcomes, learnings, and post-launch iteration.
- Examples of shipped work, where confidentiality permits.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience designing AI-powered products or human–AI interactions.
- Familiarity with no-code or low-code platforms, workflow builders, developer tools, or cloud products.
- Experience designing data visualisations, monitoring platforms, analytics products, or administrative systems.
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 and accessibility testing practices.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern frontend component frameworks.
- Experience contributing to or governing a multi-product design system.
- Familiarity with product analytics and experimentation tools.
- Experience with micro-interactions, motion design, or advanced prototyping.
- Experience mentoring designers or leading significant design initiatives.
