Role Description
The UI Tech Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for leading the design and development of user interfaces for web and enterprise applications. This role oversees a UI development team, guides architectural decisions, reviews code for quality and performance, and ensures adherence to design standards and best practices. The UI Tech Lead collaborates with product owners, UX designers, and backend engineers to translate business requirements into intuitive, accessible, and responsive interfaces. Day-to-day activities include planning and prioritizing UI tasks, mentoring team members, troubleshooting complex UI issues, and maintaining documentation for components and frameworks. The role also involves evaluating new front-end technologies, improving development processes, and contributing to long-term UI strategy and scalability.
WHAT WE NEED IN YOU
● Strong foundation in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3, with a clear understanding of core concepts and browser fundamentals
● Proven hands-on experience in React.js, including Hooks, component lifecycle, state management, and performance tuning
● Practical experience with Next.js, covering SSR, SSG, routing, and middleware for building scalable and SEO-optimized applications
● Ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable frontend architectures for complex applications
● Strong experience in component-driven development, including building and managing reusable design systems
● Proficiency in state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API, with a clear understanding of when to use each
● Hands-on experience with Code splitting, lazy loading, Rendering optimization and Core Web Vitals improvement
● Strong experience integrating REST APIs / GraphQL
● Should be actively coding, not just managing and also strong in code reviews, mentoring, and technical guidance.
● Able to handle complex UI problems and critical modules independently and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
● Experience working directly with clients/stakeholders during discussions, demos and escalations.
● Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
● Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
QUALIFICATION
● Graduate - BE / B.tech or equivalent.
● 7 to 10 years of experience
● Self motivated and quick learner with excellent problem solving skills.
● A good team player with nice communication skills.
● Energy and real passion to work in a startup environment.
