About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Lead - UI Web to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. This role is pivotal in shaping the front-end architecture and ensuring the delivery of high-performance, scalable web applications. As an Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading the UI development efforts, setting technical standards, and mentoring a team of talented engineers. Your expertise in React, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS will be instrumental in translating complex business requirements into elegant, user-friendly interfaces. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the technical direction of our web platforms while working in a hybrid work environment that promotes flexibility and collaboration.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in UI and web application development, with a strong background in front-end technologies and leadership. Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React, Node.js, HTML5, and CSS3 is essential. Candidates should have experience working with REST APIs, performance optimization, and security best practices. Familiarity with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies is highly desirable. A proven track record of mentoring engineering teams and managing end-to-end delivery of complex projects will set candidates apart. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Lead the UI web development efforts utilizing React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js. Define and maintain frontend architecture, component design, and state management patterns. Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks to ensure code quality and maintainability. Drive performance optimization, accessibility compliance, and cross-browser compatibility. Conduct code reviews, manage technical debt, and ensure long-term sustainability of the codebase.
Delivery & Execution: Take ownership of end-to-end UI module delivery, translating business requirements into scalable and efficient UI solutions. Plan and manage sprint cycles, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure timely project completion. Identify potential technical risks early and develop mitigation strategies to prevent project delays or quality issues.
Team Leadership: Mentor and support UI engineers, fostering their technical growth and professional development. Act as the escalation point for complex UI challenges, performance issues, or production incidents. Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with backend teams to ensure seamless API integration and contract adherence. Partner with UX and design teams to deliver intuitive and consistent user experiences. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure comprehensive testing, defect resolution, and release readiness.
