About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Automation Tester to join our dynamic team at Capgemini. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining UI automation scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and QA engineers, to implement automation frameworks that support continuous integration and delivery processes. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing testing efficiency, reducing manual effort, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess 4-8 years of strong programming experience in Java, demonstrating proficiency in object-oriented programming concepts, collections, streams, and exception handling. Hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation, including working with locators, waits, and handling dynamic elements, is essential. Experience with testing frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit, along with build tools like Maven or Gradle, is required. A solid understanding of XPath and CSS selectors, browser developer tools, and handling complex UI elements is necessary. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps, as well as version control systems like Git, is highly desirable. Additionally, experience working with automation frameworks based on Page Object Model (POM), Hybrid, or Data-Driven approaches will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks employing POM, Hybrid, or BDD (Cucumber/TestNG) methodologies.
- Automate functional, regression, and cross-browser test scenarios for web applications to facilitate rapid deployment cycles.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps to enable seamless deployment workflows.
- Analyze test failures, debug issues, and collaborate with development and QA teams for prompt resolution, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Continuously improve automation frameworks by optimizing structure, reusability, and performance for long-term maintainability.
- Participate in test planning, define automation strategies, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
