Jefferies Operations technology team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced distributed technologist with hands on experience in developing Java based application in hybrid platforms to join our team. This is a Vice President (VP) level role based out of
Pune, India. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and active sound working knowledge of Java, Java based applications using Spring boot frameworks both on premises and Cloud platforms (such as AWS or Azure), with extensive experience in designing, developing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions. Familiarity with event-based Micro-Services architecture is highly desirable. This role requires a proactive individual who can drive innovation and efficiency in our cloud adoption while ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced UI Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance, and cloud-native front-end platforms. This role requires deep expertise in modern UI frameworks such as React or Angular, strong architectural vision, and hands-on experience with cloud ecosystems (preferably AWS).
The ideal candidate will drive UI strategy, enforce engineering excellence, and deliver intuitive, performant, and accessible enterprise-scale user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement scalable UI architectures using React or Angular
- Drive adoption of micro-frontend architectures and modular UI strategies
- Design cloud-native front-end solutions
- Establish design systems and reusable component libraries
- Architect and deploy UI applications on cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Optimize UI delivery via CDN, caching, and edge strategies
- Lead UI development lifecycle
- Ensure performance, accessibility (WCAG), and security best practices
- Mentor teams and lead architectural reviews
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Deep expertise in React OR Angular (latest versions)
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
- State management (Redux, NgRx, etc.)
- Experience building enterprise-scale SPAs
- Micro-frontends and component-driven architecture
- Experience with design systems
- Cloud experience with AWS/Azure/GCP
- CDN, static hosting, and edge delivery knowledge
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Testing frameworks: Jest, Cypress, Playwright

- Micro-frontend orchestration frameworks
- Mobile-first design experience

Education
