Position Summary: UCOR is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team as an Operations Support Specialist. This role will provide critical support to various projects and operations by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to ensure compliance, optimize processes, and inform decision-making. The successful candidate will contribute to UCOR's mission by transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and supporting continuous process improvement initiatives within our dynamic environmental cleanup efforts. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: - Collect, compile, and analyze data from various sources to support project and operational needs.
- Develop and prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations of findings to assist management in understanding trends and making informed decisions.
- Support the development and maintenance of internal performance metrics charts and reports.
- Assist in conducting assessments, surveillances, and compliance inspections by providing data analysis and reporting.
- Participate in causal analysis and root cause analysis by providing data-driven insights.
- Support regulatory agency and DOE interactions through data compilation and analysis.
- Assist in requested design reviews, procedure reviews, proposal reviews, and cost/benefit analysis by providing data-driven support.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping in accordance with applicable Records Inventory and Disposition Schedules (RIDS).
- Contribute to Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) activities through data analysis and recommendations.
- Familiarize oneself with established company policies, methods, and practices.
- Maintain knowledge of safety policies and procedures and perform assigned duties in a safe manner.
- Complete work assignments with a high level of personal accountability, teamwork, initiative, and quality.
Required Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Entry-level position, relevant internship experience in data analysis, data management, or operations support is preferred.
Key Skills: - Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and software quickly.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to present data insights clearly and concisely.
