Looking for experienced professionals who can take ownership of critical batch operations and ensure seamless production stability in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Role Summary
You will manage end-to-end batch operations on UC4 (Automic), ensuring SLA adherence, quick recovery from failures, and smooth coordination across application, DB, and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily/weekly/month-end batch cycles and ensure SLA compliance
- Handle job failures, dependency breaks, file issues, and long-running processes
- Execute recovery actions (restart, rerun, dependency fixes) as per SOPs
- Lead incident triage (P1/P2), provide impact analysis, and drive resolution
- Perform log analysis (Automic, OS-level) and identify root causes
- Implement scheduling changes, job onboarding, and workflow updates
- Maintain runbooks, documentation, and audit compliance
- Drive continuous improvement through automation and process optimization
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in UC4 / Automic operations
- Strong expertise in job scheduling, workflows, dependencies, and batch monitoring
- Experience in L2/L3 production support and incident management (ITIL)
- Solid troubleshooting skills across Automic logs, agents, and OS (Linux/Unix, Windows basics)
- Scripting knowledge: Shell / PowerShell / Python
- Experience handling critical batch cycles (month-end/quarter-end)
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder management and bridge calls
Good to Have
- Knowledge of VARA objects, file watchers, and event-based automation
- Exposure to SAP or enterprise batch ecosystems (ETL, DWH)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics
- Basic database understanding (Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL)
