UC Health is look for a Full Time Senior Speech Language Pathologist for the Rehab Services department at West Chester Outpatient Physical Therapy location.
The Senior Speech Language Pathologist will plan, organize and implement discipline specific therapy programs upon a physician referral to maximize patient function. Assist with designated tasks for the smooth operation of the clinic. Show a leadership role in the clinic and assist with orientation as needed.

Responsibilities
Engages in population appropriate communication.
Assists with daily management of caseload and staffing assignments/coverage to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Assumes leadership responsibilities for daily departmental operations as delegated or in the absence of the Clinical Manager/Director.
Performs the assessment and treatment duties of their respective staff therapy position. Maintains appropriate licensure status, certifications and competencies to remain effective in clinical responsibilities.
Consistently achieves benchmark of 90% compliance with criteria from chart audits. Completes all patient related documentation, including encounter forms/charge sheets, legibly and in a timely manner. Complies with all Organizational, department and regulatory standards.
Accepts at least one student per year according to department standards, needs and demand. Demonstrates appropriate leadership and supervision of students, volunteers and supportive/assistive personnel. Adheres to Organizational, department, and Human Resources initiatives and policies. Demonstrates time management skills by completing expected work during regularly scheduled work hours, arriving to meetings on time, completing assigned tasks by deadlines, etc. Attends department meetings and in-services and demonstrates professional behavior. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Uses Organizational information services appropriately. Serves as a role model to other staff.
Demonstrates open, inclusive, respectful communication. Participates in problem resolution not just problem identification. Uses chain of communication appropriately to exchange information and communicate issues. Collaborates with physicians, nursing, and others as needed to provide the highest quality care to patients and residents. Provides updated and accurate information regarding patient status at care conferences. Assures smooth transitions for patients between levels of care. Demonstrates appropriate communication to customers, team members, supervisors, etc. Revises communication style to meet communication needs of current audience and environment.
Shares responsibility for the common goals of the team by carrying patient caseload consistent with peers, maintains benchmark productivity level within time designated to patient care. Available to team by being at work when scheduled, arriving on time, being prepared, being flexible in response to workload demands and helping others complete work when possible. Volunteers to provide coverage for others with high census and other assigned projects when personal caseload is low. Assists with weekend and holiday coverage as census and staffing needs dictate.
Considers the special needs of patients and caregivers of various age groups, acute and chronic pain states, orthopedic and neurological conditions, and socioeconomic status in assessment, treatment, and program planning. Modifies as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Graduate form an accredited therapy program.
Licensed and/or certified in the state of Ohio and/or national professional organization in their respective field. Certified in CPR.
Prefer at least 3 years of experience in respective field.
